Internships are an important opportunity for students, campuses, and United Way. Student interns take on and deliver substantive work for many of the nearly 1300 United Ways across the country, making a real difference in communities and gaining valuable skills for their future careers. United Way seeks interns for its global headquarters outside Washington, DC as well (see below).
If you are a student seeking an internship: Contact the United Way in your community to see if internship opportunities are available with the organization or its community partners. If internships are not available, ask your United Way if they would consider hosting them in the future, and point them to this website.
Student United Way – see our "Starting Your Student United Way" Guidebook, the Campus Outreach Guide, and the Student United Way one pager on the campus page of United Way Online.
